# atmos stack config

Read and edit a component's settings in a selected stack, including identifying which manifest
supplies each value. Use these commands to automate configuration changes and inspect inherited
settings.

## Usage

Paths are relative to the selected component, such as `vars.region`. The `get`, `set`, `delete`, and `format` subcommands also have shorter aliases under [`atmos stack`](/cli/commands/stack/usage). Use `atmos stack config list` to list editable configuration paths; [`atmos list stacks`](/cli/commands/list/stacks) lists stacks instead.

```shell
atmos stack config get <path> -s <stack> -c <component>
atmos stack config set <path> <value> -s <stack> -c <component> [--type <type>] [--file <manifest>]
atmos stack config delete <path> -s <stack> -c <component> [--file <manifest>]
atmos stack config format -s <stack> -c <component> [--file <manifest>]
atmos stack config list [path-pattern] -s <stack> -c <component> [--format <format>]
```

Paths are component-relative (e.g. `vars.region`, `settings.spacelift.workspace_enabled`).
